Heritage signs.

East Grinstead has much to offer visitors. The EGBA is working closely with the Town Council to have large (brown) Heritage signs erected on the A22 to the north and south of the town. These should encourage visitors and increase footfall in the town.

A new web site has now been launched by the EGBA and Town Council. This lists, free of charge, businesses in East Grinstead and also carries information of interest to both visitors and residents. www.visiteastgrinstead.com

In response to the Mary Portas report and recent government initiatives, Norman Webster, the leader of the Town Council, has set up a team to explore ways of making East Grinstead a “vibrant destination”. The EGBA is an active member of the team.

The recent debacle at Felbridge has again highlighted the traffic problems facing East Grinstead. MSDC and WSCC need to get together, and make some radical decisions. As East Grinstead grows and with it the congestion – businesses and residents alike need action!
