During this difficult time it’s pretty much business as usual over at 2 Moons Computing, with the exception of limited onsite customer visits and staff working from home. I wanted to reach out to members of the EGBA to see if we can assist any businesses when it comes to difficulties of remote working. We have implemented solutions for a number of businesses which allows them to work securely and effectively on home PCs or laptops as if they were in the office. This can be implemented on a permanent or temporary basis, and can be scaled from one user all the way up to 1,000.
Another issue we are seeing with remote working is telephony, we have a number of smart solutions here which allows remote workers to use phones from home. Our hosted VoIP system allows you to use a smartphone app or app on your PC to make and receive calls, it means that when you call somebody, your outgoining number will be presented as your businesses number (and not the employees mobile), and we can even have it setup with the auto attendant you would normally have setup. Again this service can be setup on a temporary or more permanent basis.
The final issue we are seeing is home broadband is sometimes not the greatest, especially in the surrounding areas of East Grinstead. Our solution to this is 4G routers (where phone signal is strong). In many cases we are seeing faster speeds over 4G than over a traditional broadband connection. We have been busy negotiating unlimited data package deals with the two main networks, both O2 and Vodafone to ensure you have no shock bills. These packages start as low as £15 per month and we can apply short 30-day contracts on this so you are not stuck with a contract you are not using.
If any of the above is of any interest to you, please do reach out to me personally on 01342 444040 or by emailing rkinkade@2moons.uk, but above all I wish you, your families and friends good health through this difficult time, and with any luck all this will be over soon and we can all enjoy a well earned drink in a local pub garden!
