Nikki Burch, Fundraising and Partnerships Manager, is planning to deliver a short presentation on the ’emotional wellbeing’ side of the school – everyone knows that schools deliver the National Curriculum, but are unlikely to appreciate the strong pastoral team we have who support students’ mental health, with everything from friendship issues through to self-harm. A handful of students at risk of exclusion are sent on various bespoke courses.

Nikki will also be talking about their careers provision and how EGBA members can further support this, by attending careers speed-dating events, working with students on interview techniques, by offering work experience placements, giving lunchtime TED-type talks, etc.

There will also be a short presentation from Nick Hurley, Well Being Team Leader at Mid-Sussex Council.  Nick will do a quick presentation on Workplace Health.
