By joining together we seek to influence and improve local issues such as transport, parking, affordable housing, recruitment, staff retention and security.
Although the EGBA seeks to represent the interests of local businesses it is not a lobbying organisation – it is much more…
Current Members
Membership of the EGBA is open to representatives of trading and commercial entities operating within the greater East Grinstead area.
One of the benefits of EGBA membership is that it gives you access to the offers other companies make available.
There are plenty of benefits available to members with at least two networking events per month, plus many great local offers.
Meet other businesses through our monthly Buzz Meetings held at a member’s premises or our informal Drink & Meet gatherings.
Being a member of the East Grinstead Business Association has proved to be a real benefit to our business. Being a small local business ourselves, we have found that our web design services have proved to be very 'in-demand' from other local businesses.

We are long standing members of the EGBA, which has benefited our business in learning what is happening in the town, networking, visiting other member’s premises and regularly meeting with local councillors.

Joining the East Grinstead Business Association allowed me to meet other local companies, when I was starting my digital marketing consultancy, Bluebell Digital. Since then, I have helped members with social media, PPC, SEO, training and creating Web content and I value the sense of community generated by the organisation.

“Being able to participate in this virtual event as Chairperson of the EGBA was really helpful in providing me with a useful update on where local businesses in East Grinstead are at. What was very encouraging was to hear about the innovative plans businesses have for the future, as we look forward to the vaccination rollout and begin to build up the post-Covid local economy again”
Mims Davies, MP
EGBA provides businesses with the opportunity to network informally and also is a forum for learning more about the town both from other members and from town and district councillors

"It's been a funny year, with networking and contacts taking new channels - and challenges of 'business as usual but business at home' - words like 'zoom' and 'mental well being' have come into play every day. People need people, I am one of those. My business needs people too, most definitely...and EGBA has brought that to me every week of covid19, throughout lockdown and tiers. It's been great to talk and meet new businesses - relax a little and know we are all in this together, and we’ll get through this together. In better times, it’s good to share your success and celebrate with like-minded people "

Businesses have had a tough few Covid months, but I’ve witnessed some of the support, networking and most of all how the EGBA have supported Mid Sussex District Council to get the word out about the £30m in government grants that have been available. If you’re not a member you ought to consider being part of this essential information provider.

The Caravan and Motorhome Club is East Grinstead’s largest private sector employer so the attractiveness of the town and the viability of its businesses are very important for our staff members and their families – whether they live here or simply use local services and businesses during their working week. It makes perfect sense to be part of that community through the EGBA and to have a stronger voice where it matters.

"Since the start of Covid in March , the EGBA have been instrumental in making continued detailed assessments of guidance and help and communicating these to its members and the wider public. This has included invaluable help, advice and guidance with bounce back loans, business rate holidays and grant aid. They have worked hand in glove with officers at Mid Sussex District Council to facilitate expert advice and deliver facilitation. This has been delivered via fortnightly newsletters, the EGBA website and personalised Webinars. Thank you EGBA for all of your help"
Rex Whittaker, Town Councillor
