08 Sep Wave Leisure Secures East Grinstead Sports Club
From 29th September 2017, Wave Leisure Trust Limited (Wave) will become the Operator for the East Grinstead Sports Centre (EGSC).
Wave, the Charity and Social Enterprise with a Purpose of “Inspiring Active Lifestyles” and a Vision, “To be at the heart of the improvement of health and wellbeing within the Community”, was appointed after a procurement process and period of negotiation.
Transferring into the Wave portfolio, EGSC will have the support and commitment of a Management Team which is focused on the core objectives of Achieving Excellence, Business Sustainability, Customer Choice, Delivering to the Community and Engaging with Staff and Partners.
Commenting on the new addition to the Wave portfolio, Duncan Kerr, Wave’s CEO said:
“We are very excited to be taking on the operational management of East Grinstead Sports Club and working with the Team, Trustees, Partners, Affiliated Clubs and our Members to deliver a high quality facility for everyone to enjoy.
“We believe the focus should be on the Club and, as the Operator, we want to ensure that we continue to provide an excellent, value for money service and support the Club to achieve its objectives.
“Our initial investment will be in the EGSC Team and we will work to provide a consistent and cohesive service level whilst we listen to the Member’s ideas, our Team’s thoughts and where the Trustees think the Club needs to develop.”
Jeff Morris, Chair of the EGSC Trustees, added:
“The Trustees are extremely happy to be working in partnership with Wave to secure the future prosperity of our Club. We believe that working together, we will continue to provide strong leadership and build, enhance and reinforce new and existing relationships with our Affiliated Clubs and community groups.”
Duncan concluded:
“It is important to everyone involved that we offer Members and the local community with quality facilities alongside a wide variety of classes and activities to “Inspire Active Lifestyles”.
