Greenaway Foundation
The Greenaway Foundation is the charitable branch of Greenaway Residential, which is the Estate Agency and donates over 10% of all company profits to the charity.
Founded in 2010, the Foundation helps financially challenged families in the local area with ad hoc help. These families often ‘fly under the radar’ from receiving formal help. Families are usually brought to the charities attention through local schools and the aim is to alleviate the stress and anxiety of children and help them see school as a positive place to be. Help can be provided in the form of school uniforms, food and travel to just name a few examples of how the charity can help.
A big focus of the charity is at Christmas.
Ever year, the Foundation provides each family with all the ingredients they need to cook a two course Christmas Dinner. Many children from the families receiving help can then make a wish for a Christmas gift up to the value of £25 for each child.
For Christmas 2020, 525 families received deliveries and over 400 children received their wish on the morning of Christmas Eve.
